Bio of J. Craig Honaman, FACHE, CRC


J. Craig Honaman founded H&H Consulting Partners in 2001 to provide career coaching and transition services for the healthcare industry. Since the company’s establishment, Craig has helped hundreds of healthcare professionals plan, manage, and advance their careers.

Craig began his medical career as a Captain in the Medical Service Corps for the United States Army. He served a tour of combat duty in Vietnam from 1967-1968 flying Med Evac helicopters. Craig returned to pursue a 30-year career in healthcare administration, serving as an executive for hospital, clinic, home health, and managed care organizations across the Southeast.

Craig is an active industry and community volunteer. He is Board Certified in Healthcare Management and Recertified Fellow for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). His ACHE roles include Board Advisor for the Chapter of Georgia, Past Regent for the Georgia Piedmont Plateau, and ACHE Nominating Committee member. Craig volunteers on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Health Administration for the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University and Finance Committee for Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.

Craig has received numerous awards, including the ACHE Exemplary Service Award, ACHE Senior Healthcare Executive Award in 2006 for North Florida and 2007 for the Piedmont Plateau, the HAI Golden Hour Award and National Aeronautics Association award. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science in Hospital Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is also a Certified Retirement Coach (CRC).
